A Flying Supercar

AeroMobil is one of the most interesting projects in the advanced aeronautics sector. Produced in the Slovak Republic in Europe, it is a vehicle with soft and futuristic lines, born from the crossing between a private plane and a car.

According to its manufacturer: “AeroMobil is a fully integrated aircraft and a fully functional four-wheeled car,” explains the company. “His goal is to make personal transport much more efficient and environmentally friendly, allowing you to travel from door to door over medium distances and in areas without road infrastructure (or with poor infrastructure) in a much shorter time.”

AeroMobil has a body made of carbon fiber, with a steel frame. It is capable of going from car to airplane configuration in few minutes thanks to its foldable wings.

The AeroMobil is powered by Hybrid propulsion system with 2.0 L turbocharged internal combustion engine capable of delivering 224 kW (300 horsepower), which is able to push it on the road at 100 mph (160 km/h) of maximum speed and make it fly in the sky at 223 mph (360 km/h). The range is ~320 miles (~520 km) on land and ~460 miles (~740 km) in the air. It takes off at 80 mph (130 km/h) in about 650 feet and lands in 160 feet.

Aeromobil offers two seats with a maximum take-off weight of 960 kilograms, equivalent to 240 kilograms of cargo.
